Hillary: Hispanic Bring Brooms

Blogger notes: Do you find it disturbing as well? Hillary said to Hispanic voters to bring their brooms and vacuum cleaners to help clean White House.

Why didn't she say that to white people? Black people? Asians? Mid-easterners? Should Hispanic people tolerate such stereotyping?

Clinton: This Is Personal

ABC News' Eloise Harper Reports: Speaking in North Bergen, N.J., Sen. Hillary Clinton was brought on stage by Sen. Bob Menendez. Menedez spoke in Spanish and riled up the majority-Hispanic crowd.

A banner behind a group of Clinton supporters read: "Juntos con Hillary, Una Vida Mejor."
Clinton rattled through her stump speech. She told the crowd that she is going to need their help cleaning up the White House and suggested they bring their brooms and vacuum cleaners to help.

Clinton closed with a line that she doesn't normally use.

"This is really personal to me," Clinton said. "I want New Jersey to be with me not just on Feb. 5 and all the way through the election in November."

Then Clinton began chanting/yelling, "Will you help me? Will you help me? Will you help me? Will you help me? Will you help me? Will you help me?"

After that members of the crowd chanted back, "Will you help me?" -- and the cries soon turned into calls of "Hillary! Hillary!"

As a Hispanic professor at a UC University, I would like to point out that with Hillary's ignorance toward Hispanic people and her pandering to illegal immigrants, she presents a great danger to this country that we legal immigrants chose to move in with a lot of hard work and paper work. She must understand we legals do not condone illegals. She probably needs to see how many legal immigrants (Hispanic, Asian, etc.) are here. Once she realizes that the overwhelming majority of immigrants are legal, and are offended, she probably changes her tone really quickly.

Hispanic w/o a broom, welcome to my world. As an African American, her pandering to black social deficit politics just turns my stomach. My white husband and I are voting for Sen. Obama. He's more closely aligned with the traditional American values we espouse.

Thank you all. I am so touched reading your postings. As an Asian LEGAL immigrant and also a professor, I find the Clintons despicable. The Clintons will do anything to get elected. Hillary stole Edwards' "This is personal" and used it as her own in a matter of weeks. They might be counting on people's lack of memory, but I don't think Americans have forgotten about Lewinski, Whitewater, Vince Foster, or the Cattle deal. It is nice reading your great judgement. Thank you.

You have got to give the Clintons credit of uniting us together to vote against them! In our gloomy economy, she is still talking about fighting, fighting and fighting, instead of working with the Republicans. Worst of all, she is trashing Obama from her own party. From what I read, their strategy is that she focuses on talking about "issues" while letting Bill do the dirty job of smearing Obama. America is sick and tired of their politics. Carpetbaggers, go away!

I hope the America's Hispanic voters hand Hillary a broom and tell her to fly back to Arkansas.
